"When you're growing & on your spiritual journey you're going to lose some people, but the people you lose were only meant to get the unhealed version of you."
Losing people was tough & in the beginning it felt like I was breaking. As I grew in my relationship with Christ I came to understand that sometimes you lose people because of what God is doing in you. I was attached to some people and some things that stunted my spiritual growth, which resulted in some prayers being answered with a “not yet” instead of a “yes.” Everyone couldn’t go where God was taking me and that was a hard pill to swallow. Let me keep it real...it hurt like hell. I had to stop focusing on who wasn’t there & instead focus on healing.
Count it all joy because God restores. The peace & joy you’ll gain from growing in discipleship will far outweigh the sufferings of this present time. I know it may not feel like it now, I’ve been there more than once & trust me I get it. You want to see it and feel it not hear about it. In order for that to occur you have to continue to grow & remain steadfast in faith no matter how hard it gets. Feed your spirit and your flesh will follow.
